Exercise 1 Octave
- The first exercise focuses on playing octaves. Youssef demonstrates how to play C in one octave while simultaneously playing C in another, without alternating. He encourages you to follow along, starting slowly and gradually increasing your speed. The goal is to play this exercise smoothly from the top to the bottom and vice versa.
Exercise 2 Alternate Octave
- Similar to the first exercise, this one also deals with octaves but introduces an alternated approach. Instead of playing the two notes simultaneously, you play them in succession. Youssef plays this in C Major (Ajam Do), alternating between the left and right hand. He encourages you to follow suit, creating a ladder-like melody.
Exercise 3 Pentatonic Arrangement
- In this exercise, you'll play five notes in a row, alternating between the left and right hand. Youssef begins with C and ends with G, showing how this pentatonic arrangement works. You'll play it in both ascending and descending orders, allowing you to explore different octaves and improve your skills.
Exercise 4 Speeding Up the Exercises
